Wilmington remembers fallen heroes
Wilmington honored the men and women who gave their lives in the armed services today.
This morning, a memorial ceremony at the National Cemetery remembered those who served our country.
Veterans at the ceremony say they came to pay tribute to their fellow servicemen.
“I’m proud to be a Veteran and I’m proud to be alive and the Lord has blessed me all my life,” Billie Ray Lyerly said.
Memorial Day is the only day of the year cameras are allowed inside the National Cemetery.
