Wilmington Sharks awarded league’s Organization of the Year

The Wilmington Sharks baseball team has been named this year’s Coastal Plain League Organization of the Year.

The Sharks were below 500 on the field in the wooden bat summer league, but other teams in the league voted the organization number one.

The Sharks scored a high grade in numerous areas including concessions, ballpark appearance, its web broadcast and community relations.

The Sharks hosted the C.P.L. all-star game this summer.
