Woman accused of biting and spitting on officers, kicking patrol car window
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A woman wanted on outstanding warrants from Wake County is accused of biting two Wilmington police officers and spitting on them during her arrest.
Wilmington Police Spokeswoman Linda Thompson says officers arrested Keyana McMillan, 21, at the Extended Stay off of New Centre Drive around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Thompson says several officers tried to get McMillan under control. That’s when she bit two of them, spit at them, and covered the patrol car in spit.
Police say they had to stop the car multiple times because McMillan kept spitting and tried to kick out a window.
McMillan is charged with the following:
- Assault on LEO/PO/Other serious injury
- Assault on Govt official/LEO
- Common law forgery
- Probation violation
- Two counts of Malicious conduct by prison
- Ficticious information to officer
McMillan is in jail under $75,000 bond.
She was wanted out of Wake County for common law robbery.
