Woman accused of coercing teen to run away

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff detectives have arrested a woman they said is linked to a missing teenager.

Dana Nichole Grabowski of Leland is charged with abduction of a child, common law obstruction of justice, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The charges stem from an incident involving Tanner Ryan Alderton, a juvenile who was reported missing Wednesday.

Investigators said Grabowski encouraged the juvenile to run away from his legal custodian and mislead law enforcement about his whereabouts.
