Woman accused of pistol-whipping a mother in front of child during robbery
NAVASSA, NC (WWAY) — One of the suspects wanted for allegedly robbing and pistol whipping a woman in Navassa last year is now behind bars.
23-year-old Diamond Unique Banks is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, kidnapping and robbery.
Navassa Police say on September 19 three people went into a home on Magnolia Drive, took turns hitting a woman in front of her child, took money and left.
Police arrested one man shortly afterward.
They tracked Banks down in Spring Lake, where she was arrested Wednesday night.
Her bond was set at $100,000 but has since bonded out.
One suspect is still wanted.
