Woman accused of running over man’s foot, thought he was cheating

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman is accused of crashing into a car because she saw the father of her child inside it with another woman. Then when he got out, she allegedly ran over his foot.

Wilmington Police say it happened Thursday at 12th and Carnation.

Takera Mitchell, 21, had her one-year-old child in the car when she allegedly hit another vehicle.

The child’d father got out of that vehicle and approached Mitchell and that’s when police say she ran over his foot.

Mitchell is charged with three counts of assault, misdemeanor child abuse and injury to personal property.

She is currently being held without bond.
