Woman charged in overnight Wilmington stabbing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A woman has been arrested in connection to an overnight stabbing in Wilmington.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Sir Galahad Lane just before 3 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a physical altercation.

Police say officers found a 22-year-old woman who had been stabbed. She was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Destiny Marie Mathes, 21, has been arrested and is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
