Woman stabbed, man shot in New Hanover County

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing and assault with a deadly weapon.

Just after midnight, deputies responded to 200 Golden Road for reports of a fight.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a woman with small puncture wounds from being stabbed multiple times and a man who had been shot in the hand.

Both were taken to the hospital.

Their injuries are non-life threatening.

Detectives are searching for the suspect.
