Woman busted for carrying more than the “good news” in her Bible

The Drug Enforcement Unit was called to assist in an investigation in the Detention Center in Bolivia early Friday.

Detention Officers searched items brought into the Detention Facility by Nicoll Christine Brennan and found marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia. Brennan was attempting to smuggle the contraband into the facility within items that inmates are allowed to receive while in custody.

Agents responded to the facility and found that Brennan cut holes in the pages of a Holy Bible and inserted the contraband inside. Agents also located more pills and a concealed weapon, ice pick, inside Brennan’s personal property during the investigation.

Brennan is currently being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $30,000.00 Bond
