Woman missing for 17 months, no leads

Seventeen months after she went missing, investigators have no new leads in the search for Alison Foy.

The Wilmington woman was last seen leaving the junction billiards sports bar off Carolina Beach Road on July 30, 2006. She left in a taxi, but it’s unclear what happened to her next.

Foy has two young daughters, a five-year-old and a 13-year-old. Her sister says she would never have left her family without an explanation. She thinks her sister was a victim of foul play.

Lisa Valentino said, “After 17 months of this and knowing my sister as well as I do, I believe my sister is no longer with us. I believe something happened to her that night and now I’m determined to find out what that is.”

Anyone with any information regarding the disappearance of Alison Foy is urged to call Wilmington police at 343-3600 or the CUE Center for Missing Persons at 343-1131.

There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the whereabouts of Alison Foy.
