Woman strangled in Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH — Carolina Beach Police are investigating the death of a woman found inside a motel.

Thursday morning employees at Russo’s Motel found the body of 46-year-old Sophia Agrimis.

Investigators say on Saturday she was assaulted by 46-year-old Ronald Glenn Davis.

Police arrested him at that time.

Investigators are trying to determine if there’s a connection between the assault and her death.

Davis remains in the New Hanover County jail on $25,000 bond.
