WWAY and the YWCA Lower Cape Fear are teaming up this March to celebrate Women’s History Month.
Tune in every Wednesday evening this month as we profile some of the area’s most influential women and tell their stories of courage and perseverance.
The YWCA Lower Cape Fear is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Over the past 112 years, their programs have evolved and included educational and employment classes for women, teen clubs, community dialogue groups to discuss race relations, child care centers, a youth resource center, and aquatic programming.
