World Bank closes Washington buildings after bomb threat
WASHINGTON (AP) — The World Bank has closed its Washington headquarters today because of a telephoned bomb threat.
The building is located near the White House. Meetings there of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have been frequent targets of street protests.
A World Bank statement says law enforcement officials are investigating the threat and says the closure is just a precaution.
