WPD: Afternoon shooting sends man to the hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating after a shooting sent one man to the hospital Friday afternoon.

WPD Spokeswoman Linda Thompson said a man was going to Pyramid Rehearsal and Recording Studio when someone fired multiple shots at him.

It happened near Greenfield and South 8th streets.

Thompson said emergency crews were called and the man was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She said the man has non-life-threatening injuries.

They say police are looking for the suspect.
