WPD: Gang member accused of assaulting a woman on Valentine’s Day

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Gang Unit arrested Jenouri Roberts, a validated member of the Bloods Gang, Friday for charges related to a felony assault that happened last week.

Roberts, 27, of Wilmington, allegedly assaulted a woman with a firearm on Valentine’s Day, then threatened her if she brought charges against him.

He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and intimidating a witness.

At the time of the arrest, Roberts was out on bond for possession of firearm by felon, possession of stolen firearm, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and communicating threats.

He is currently being held at the New Hanover County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
