WPD investigating 3rd drive-by shooting in less than 2 weeks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating another shooting in broad daylight in the city.

Police said it happened on Harbour Drive near S. 17th Street after 11: 30 a.m. Police said they’re looking for a dark green Acura that headed toward Shipyard Boulevard after the shooting.

No injuries were reported, but police said gunfire hit property in the area. We have a crew on scene working to get more details.

This is the third time in less than two weeks that a daylight drive-by was reported by WPD. The first, a week ago Sunday, killed a teen. Another drive-by happened on Sunday with injuries reported.
