WPD investigating after man shot in leg

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating a shooting near downtown.

According to a tweet from the Wilmington Police Department, a man was shot in the leg around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of 8th and Campbell streets. The male victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for the injuries.

There’s no word on a suspect at this time.
