WPD gives all clear after suspicious package reported at apartment complex

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police have given the all clear after a Wilmington apartment complex called 911 to report what they believed was a suspicious package.

Wilmington Police Department says it happened at the Mill Creek Apartments Monday morning.

The apartment management called 911 to report a suspicious package, which WPD says had suspicious labeling.

The bomb squad determined there was no threat and had “debris” inside of it.

A portion of Mill Creek Court was shut down during the investigation.
