WPD investigating mini mart armed robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an armed robbery they say happened Saturday night around 7 p.m.

According to New Hanover County Dispatch, the robbery happened at a mini mart near North 6th Street. A police spokeswoman said a man entered the store wearing a ski mask and black North Face coat before showing a gun.

The spokeswoman said they believe the suspect ran away, heading north from the store.
