WPD investigating Saturday morning shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Spokeswoman Linda Rawley said the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. near the 700 block of South 9th Street. The victim was taken to the hospital, but there is no word on his condition at this time.

Rawley said there is limited information right now.
