WPD investigating shooting death of teen

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A 19-year-old was killed Tuesday night in Wilmington.

Police are investigating the shooting of Tomar Bloodworth.

A witness told police Bloodworth and three other people were in the 2800 block of Chestnut Street when he heard gunshots around 8:50 p.m.

A family member drove the victim to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he died.
