WPD: Kids inside home during shooting, woman grazed by bullet
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say a woman was grazed in the arm by a bullet when a Wilmington home was shot Sunday.
Wilmington Police say it happened around 8 p.m. in the 3000 block of Pauline Lane, near N. 30th Street’s intersection. That’s where police say ShotSpotter picked up several shots fired just before a witness called to report that someone was shot.
Police say a witness who was inside the home with multiple children at the time told officers she was sitting at the table when she heard the shots sound. They say the victim was grazed by one of the bullets in her right forearm.
Officers say the home was struck by shots numerous times, and that they found one bullet in the front door of the home. WPD is still investigating.
