WPD: Man backs into window at Domino’s, apologizes, pays for food, leaves

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  Wilmington Police are searching for a man who allegedly backed into a glass window at Domino’s Pizza, apologized, paid for this order and then sped off.

Police have issued warrants for James Edward Farley.

Police say on February 11, Farley went to the Domino’s at 2416 Carolina Beach Road and ordered a pizza.

Police say when he returned to pick up the pizza, he attempted to back into a parking space and struck the front glass window, breaking it in several places.

Using the name given for his order, the tag to the vehicle and witness identification, investigators determined Farley to be the suspect.

According to the employees, Farley apologized as he paid for his order, but when the employee began to call 911 to file a police report, the suspect grabbed his pizza and drove through the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

Farley is facing charges of hit and run leaving scene with property damage, reckless driving/wanton disregarding for the public, and driving without a license.
