WPD: Man unpacking car robbed at gunpoint by masked men

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say two masked men robbed a man at gunpoint while he was unpacking his car just outside his home last night.

Wilmington Police say it happened just before 8 p.m. in the 1500 block of S. 13th Street. That’s where police say the victim told them he was getting things out of his car after work when two men with black rags covering their faces approached him with guns.

Officers say the men took off running in an unknown direction. The men are described as both being about 5’9″ tall, and were were wearing all black clothing at the time of the crime. Police say they’re not sure what the robbers got away with, but WPD is still investigating.
