WPD: No charges to be filed in deadly shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police said they do not plan to file charges in a deadly shooting from earlier this month.

The shooting happened April 9 in the Houston Moore community. Andraes De’Quan Bryant, 26, was shot and killed; Travis Coneil Dixon, 24, was shot and seriously injured.

Police said after their investigation, they’ve determined the deadly shooting was in self-defense. Dixon will not be charged, police said.
