Yesterday, police said they responded to a shots fired call after 7 p.m. in the area of Park Avenue and 39th Street. At the time, police said three men robbed and shot a man. They also announced the arrest of the three suspects.

This morning, police released new information about what happened. Police now say it wasn’t a robbery. They said the victim, a 44-year-old man, was driving in the area when he came up to three men walking in the middle of the road. They said when the victim asked the men to move, there was an altercation and one of the men shot into the victim’s car twice. The man wasn’t seriously hurt.

Police said one of the three men, Khalil Hardy, 17, was arrested and charged in the incident. He was booked under a $65,000 bond.
