WPD: Traffic stop ends in felony drug charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is in jail under no bond after a traffic stop ends in the discovery of drugs including MDMA.

A WPD spokeswoman said it happened after 3:30 p.m. yesterday near the Hillcrest Community. Police said when they pulled over Devin Leon Brunson, 30, they smelled marijuana and searched the car. Police said they found 400 grams of marijuana, 60 grams of MDMA and cash in the car.

Brunson is facing charges including trafficking MDMA and felony marijuana possession.
