WPD: Woman robbed at ATM


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking for a man who robbed someone at an ATM.

A WPD spokeswoman said it happened around midnight at a machine in the 4100 block of Oleander Drive. The female victim told police a man approached her, demanded money and told her he had a gun. When she realized he didn’t have a weapon, police said the man ran off with some cash.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 50s, 5’7″ with a medium build who was wearing a white Polo shirt,  white do-rag on his head and a green army jacket. Another witness told police he was driving a white older model Chevy Caprice with no rims.
