WPD arrest man suspected of break-ins

WILMINGTON — Wilmington Police believe they have the man responsible for a rash of home break-ins.

Officer’s arrested 43-year-old Gregory Hess. He’s charged with 21 counts of breaking and entering, and larceny.

Police say seventeen of those break-ins happened in the historic neighborhoods of downtown Wilmington.

Six others happened in the neighborhood of Sunset Park.

Hess is currently in the New Hanover County jail.
