WPD gets grant to help with rehabilitation

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is trying to help the people they arrest.

The US Attorney's Office recently awarded the WPD grant money so they can help inmates released from prison. Proceeds will help convicts with gun charges or gang ties get back on their feet — the right way.

The WPD is now accepting applications for an inmate councilor.
