WPD releases name of killed pedestrian

WILMINGTON — Wilmington police have released the name of the pedestrian killed Wednesday morning.

The victim has been identified as 63-year-old Litu Zhang.

He was struck and killed around 10 a.m. between South College and Holly Tree Roads.

Police say he was standing in the center median then walked into the path of a white van heading north on College.

Investigators say it is unlikely the driver of the van will face charges.
