Wrightsville Beach almost back to normal following September storm
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Wrightsville Beach is still on the mend six months following Hurricane Florence that hit the area last September.
Town Manager Tim Owens says thankfully most of the businesses that were damaged are getting back inline, but some still need roofs repaired.
Owens says, for the most part, Wrightsville Beach is ready for the season.
He says 10 to 12 town buildings need new roofs. Some of which had flooding, but most are back to being operational.
He is hoping that The Oceanic will open by Easter.
Owens says the town is not 100% back but they are very close.
