Wrightsville Beach Bridge work to linger into late July

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Repairs on the Wrightsville Beach Drawbridge are running behind schedule. The completion date has moved from spring of next year to July 27.

The DOT says repairs include a larger control house, painting and replacement of the steel deck.

Currently only one lane each way is open, but contractors say that on holidays they may reopen the other lanes for traffic.
