Wrightsville Beach gets update on bridge work

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Wrightsville Beach officials met with the NCDOT today for an update on the drawbridge project.

The bridge has been under full time construction since October.

The DOT says the bridge will be back to four lanes by April 1 with town officials hoping to open traffic for Easter weekend. There will be several night closures from April through June, and full-time work will return for the other half of the bridge in the fall.
