Wrightsville Beach Museum celebrates 20 years

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach Museum of History celebrates 20 years today.

A new art exhibit featuring local artists’ works of the area kicked off with today’s celebration. The museum features a model of what the town looked like in the early 1900s as well as various photos and artifacts. Linda Honour was the original museum director and said it’s amazing to see how much it has grown.

“I’m so excited today because when we started in the beginning, we weren’t sure how long the museum would keep going, so this is really exciting,” Honour said.

Starting Sunday, the museum will have free lemonade for visitors all summer long.
