WWAY learns some new moves

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington company is trying to bring personal safety lessons into the workplace.

American Combat Elites started a three-week training course for the staff here at WWAY Thursday night.

We’re trying to make sure employees have the tools they need to protect ourselves in all sorts of situations.

Ace founder John Moulder says it often takes just one class to get people really interested in learning those skills.

“It’s better to have a skill and not need it than to need it and not have it,” he said.

John and his teammate Troy even showed us some more sophisticated moves. But Moulder says his number one tip to protecting yourself is having situational awareness.
