Young Inventors Receive Top Award
Two young Wilmington inventors received top honors yesterday.
Third graders David Guerrero and Benjamin Mears from the Rachel Freeman School of Engineering are the 2008 Regional winners of the Explora-Vision awards.
The award spotlights innovative ideas for future technologies.
The two boys came up with the Stethoscope 1000–an advanced version of the doctor’s tool.
They now have a chance to go to the national contest in Washington D.C. in June.
