YUM! Cookie dough shop coming to Carolina Beach boardwalk
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Calling all cookie dough lovers! You’ll be able to get your sweet tooth fix on Pleasure Island very soon!
Doh! Togo, an edible cookie dough eatery, will be located on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk.
The shop will serve up scoopable, edible dough that can be served alone or with a variety of toppings.
Doh! Togo will offer 10 flavors including chocolate chip, GF chocolate chip, salted caramel pretzel, unicorn (purple cookie dough with Reese’s pieces, white chocolate chips and sprinkles), and peanut butter & jelly.
Every week they plan to make a small batch of a unique mixture that will only be made once and when it’s gone it’s gone.
Mary Mercier with Doh! Togo says the dough is made safe by using pasteurized egg and heat treated flour.
“I remember as a kid wanting to lick the bowl when mom was baking cookies and I always got the ‘No! You can’t eat that, you will get sick, there’s raw egg in it!’ and now those days are gone!” Mercier said.
The shop partnered with “Cravings” in Wilmington to offer a healthy options for customers including vegan, gluten free and soy free chick pea blondies and black bean brownies.
Doh! Togo will also carry Hershey’s Ice Cream.
“We will have baked and unbaked ice cream cookie dough sandwiches as well as cookie dough ice cream sundaes,” Mercier said.
The business is expected to be open in early May. They plan to be open on weekends until Memorial Day then 7 days a week through the summer starting at 11 a.m.
There are reports another edible cookie dough eatery is to set up shop in Mayfaire in Wilmington.
