Search for missing man leads to dead body

The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office found the body of a man reported missing. Just before 10:00 Friday morning, officials found 51-year-old Arild Funderud.

Brunswick County Intercultural Festival takes place Sunday

The festival, which celebrates diverse cultures that make up Brunswick County, will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, on the grounds of Odell Williamson Auditorium on the campus of Brunswick Community College in Bolivia.

Southeastern North Carolina to see $24 million in federal money

Former sheriff Ron Hewett to be released early

It looks like former Brunswick County Sheriff Ron Hewett will be released from prison early. Hewett is supposed to get out of federal prison on January 12th, and sent to a halfway house.
