A Wilmington man accused of murder turned himself in federal authorities this afternoon.
Larry Thompson is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Morris Cuttino.

Brunswick County may be getting a new assistant district attorney. The new State budget includes money for 30 new North Carolina assistant district attorneys. This according to Brunswick County District Attorney Rex Gore.

Several major cities already use what's called a "ten-year plan" to end chronic homelessness. Now Wilmington is doing the same thing. A committee appointed by Mayor Bill Saffo has come up with a first draft of the plan. It calls for extending what is currently taking place in the City.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of 30th Street.
Tyrone Tyson of Wilmington was shot in the thigh by a man who claimed Tyson took his money.
