Officer shoots at men during Jacksonville chase

Authorities say two men have been taken to the hospital after they tried to strike a police officer with their car during a chase. Jacksonville Police told local media outlets that an officer from Camp Lejeune officer tried to stop the men around 10 p.m. Wednesday and called on other officers after the vehicle got away.

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are searching for a missing Shallotte woman. Tiffany Sheppard,21, of Holden Beach Road was last seen at her home on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. and was last heard from by text yesterday around 8:00 p.m.
