A funeral will be held for a member of the North Carolina National Guard killed in Afghanistan.
Sgt. Jeremy F. Hardison of Browns Summit is scheduled to be buried Thursday at the Salisbury National Cemetery.

The body of a Wilmington soldier killed in Afghanistan is back on American soil. Sgt. Thomas J. Butler IV’s body arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware last night. Fellow service members made what the military calls the dignified transfer in the rain. There is no word yet on when Butler’s body will return to Wilmington.
