German shepherds rescued from puppy mill ready for adoption

videoBrunswick County Animal Protective Services has been caring for five German shepherds rescued from a Duplin County puppy mill two weeks ago. When they found, the dogs were covered in mud and feces and inside of cages.

Wilmington Police to spend thousands to evaluate K-9 unit

video The Wilmington Police Department will spend nearly $10,000 as it evaluates its canine program. Chief Ralph Evangelous promised the review earlier this year after an internal investigation into K9 officer Stafford Brister and his use of his dog on a chase suspect last fall.
