The UNCW baseball team is on a roll. The Seahawks are now two games above .500 in the CAA after escaping with a 3-2 win on Friday. With its postseason hopes on the line, NC State rose to the challenge on Friday at Virginia Tech, dropping the Hokies 9-4 in the opener before clinching a spot in the ACC Tournament with a 6-5 win in the nightcap + more! Chance Shepard, Joe O'Donnell and Nathan Hood all played their high school baseball in SE North Carolina. They're now teammates at NC State. This week the mission is clear for these Wolfpack baseball players; make the ACC Baseball Tournament. If that happens the chips may end up falling later this month for a potential spot in the NCAA Tournament. Full story...

The high school state playoffs started on Tuesday for baseball, softball and soccer. We made stops in Wilmington, Hampstead and Leland in order to check out the game action. In college baseball UNCW shutout Campbell. NC State, UNC and Duke also won in the last non-conference baseball game of the season for each squad. Plus more! Full story...

Brett Blizzard and Craig Callahan are synonymous with UNCW basketball. Ironically, this week they're having to face each other as opponents in the playoffs in Italy. They were Seahawk teammates for four seasons during the golden years at Trask Coliseum, but this week they're friendly competitors. Plus more! Full story...

UNCW won eight events, including both relays, as the Seahawks claimed their 11th Colonial Athletic Association men’s track & field championship over the weekend. The UNCW baseball team evened their record at .500 after a loss on Sunday against the College of Charleston. The Wilmington Hammerheads remain scoreless at home in three attempts. Plus more!
