The official results are in for the New Hanover County elections. The Board of Elections reviewed votes Tuesday and one race was so close, it could come down to a re-count.

The debate over whether the Pender County community of Hampstead should be incorporated is over. The vote wasn't even close. Seventy-two percent of voters said no. If Tuesday night's election results were any indication people like Flack are happy with the Hampstead community just the way it is.

In Brunswick County poll officials say it's been a busy day. The land transfer tax brought many residents out to cast their vote.
Not only are Brunswick County voters deciding their elected officials will be, they're also deciding whether to approve a tax on the sale of private property.
