Multi-vehicle accident leaves 1 dead in Oak Island
OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — A multi-vehicle accident leaves one dead and part of East Oak Island Drive closed in Oak Island Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Town of Oak Island, it happened near Northeast 27th Street, where a Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Rav4 appeared to have collided head-on.
The town says one driver was found pinned inside their vehicle. Both drivers were taken to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead; the second driver is currently listed in stable condition.
