11th Annual Wilmington Jewish Film Fest begins at Thalian Hall
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A unique movie experience kicked off Sunday afternoon at Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts.
The 11th annual Wilmington Jewish Film Fest brings 6 recently released films to Cape Fear audiences.
The films cover various topics, from a period drama about the Holocaust, a biography about the Beatles’ manager, and a comedy.
The festival’s communications chair, Pam Sender, said the festival has grown every year, as more people come out to see the films.
She said the festival helps spread awareness about Jewish culture in the area.
“It’s sharing our culture with all of Wilmington, and it shows that we have a lot more in common than disagreements,” Sender said. “And it’s very important, especially in this day and age.”
The festival continues Monday night and ends next Tuesday.
