12 vehicles broken into at Smithfield Packing Plant in Tar Heel

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Twelve vehicles were broken into last Sunday at the Smithfield Packing Plant in Tar Heel.

Around 3:00 a.m. on February 18th, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says two unknown suspects driving a silver Kia Optima with dark tinted windows were seen on surveillance going from vehicle to vehicle and either opening the doors or busting the window out.

One of the suspects was wearing a black jacket and camouflage face covering. Several items were stolen such as wallets, titles and registrations, purses and credit cards, according to law enforcement.
