16th annual Brunswick County Intercultural Festival

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Intercultural Festival showcased diverse cultures and traditions from around the globe.

Performances on the main stage featured singing and dancing that highlighted each culture’s unique heritage. Attendees also enjoyed henna tattoos, face painting and authentic dishes from various countries.

Different countries had different booths set up where attendees could visit and learn more about each culture.

Mari-Lou Wong-Chong, Chairwoman of the Festival, said, “It fosters understanding and acceptance, respect for our different cultures, respect for each other, and respect for our differences.”

W-W-A-Y’s Jessica Kiesling emceed the event, interacting with performers and attendees.
