18-year-old, infant killed in Bladen County head-on collision with log truck

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A head-on collision with a log truck left two people dead Thursday evening in Bladen County.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. when a vehicle crossed the center line on Highway 211 near Council and collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction, according to the Highway Patrol.
18-year-old Amaya Johnson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, and an infant less than one-year-old were pronounced dead on the scene.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
